Positions

Gymnastics Coaches

Level: Preschool and Recreational levels

Requirements: Responsible for coaching gymnastics classes for ages 18 months and up. Seeking passionate and energetic individuals who have an interest in gymnastics and working with children.

Qualifications: Gymnastics experience required.

Hours: 4 to 20 hours per week

Shift Lead

The Shift Lead serves as the point person on duty during their shift, providing leadership, support, and problem-solving to ensure a safe, organized, and positive gym environment. This role sets the tone for the gym by leading by example, supporting coaches, and facilitating touch base meetings to communicate updates, address questions, and encourage collaboration. Shift Leads ensure daily tasks are completed, gym rules and safety protocols are followed, and any issues with staffing, equipment, facilities, or emergencies are handled calmly and appropriately. They build trust with gymnasts, parents, and staff through clear communication, approachability, and professionalism, while promoting a respectful and supportive workplace culture. The Shift Lead works closely with coaches in training, floaters, office staff, the Director, and the Board to support smooth daily operations, prioritize safety, and uphold club policies and decisions.

 

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has prior gymnastics coaching experience and demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to confidently guide and support other coaches during a shift. They are calm under pressure, safety-focused, and comfortable making decisions in real time. This individual communicates clearly and respectfully with staff, gymnasts, parents, and leadership, and leads with a positive, professional attitude. Strong organizational skills, approachability, and the ability to model high expectations through actions and interactions are essential. A successful Shift Lead is proactive, dependable, and committed to fostering a supportive team environment and a positive gym culture.

Competitive Coaches

Level: MAGA Competitive levels, USAG Level 5-8 equivalent

Requirements: Responsible for coaching practices and meets for competitive level. Responsible for creating practice plans and routines for gymnasts, and communication with parents regarding meets and team commitments. Seeking passionate and energetic individuals who enjoy working with children and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications: Experience coaching upper level or competitive gymnastics preferred. Gymnastics coaching experience required.

Hours: 6–10 hours coaching per week and meets (5+ per season), evening and weekend hours required.

Office Assistant

River Falls Gymnastics Club is seeking a friendly, organized Office Assistant to support daily operations, assist families, and help keep the gym running smoothly. Responsibilities include answering phones and emails, assisting with registrations and scheduling, organizing rosters and evaluations, maintaining office and gym supplies, posting updates on Facebook, and supporting the Director with administrative tasks. This is a part-time, on-site position (7–10 hours per week), with some evening and weekend hours required. Microsoft Office or Google Workspace experience is required; a 2–4 year degree is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills are essential. Must pass a background check. RFGC is an equal opportunity employer. Spread the Word! Referral Bonus

If refer someone who would be a good fit for our competitive coach position or employment of multiple positions totaling more than 20 hours per week, you will receive $500 if they are hired and remain on staff for 9 months, including the competitive season. An applicant must list your name, email and phone number on their application as their referral for the position.
